After searching desperately for the correction in Encyclopedia of Knitting, by Leslie Stansfield and Melody Griffiths, I finally found it and posted on my site: http://www.webigail.com
I was frustrated, because I had finally picked a pattern that I was ready to attempt, only to discover it was missing critical info. I had to work hard to get the correction, but it was worth it. I am now in the midst of my first lace, as well as first blanket project.

there is a post along the side in archives called being a creative knitter hopefully the html i post here will get you there. its worth a read. i began with a plain sweater knit from the top down and then had a blast being creative.
i dont like seams at all if i can avoid them i do at all costs.
